From 24 to 26 March 2026, the AI-Teach consortium and Flagship Schools met in Kortrijk, Belgium, for the second Transnational Project Meeting Committee. Hosted by VIVES University of Applied Sciences, the meeting brought together project partners, teacher educators and schools from across Europe to advance the project’s work and strengthen collaboration.
AI-Teach is an Erasmus+ Teacher Academy project that supports teachers in navigating artificial intelligence in education. Through training, research and international collaboration, the project aims to strengthen AI literacy and support educators in engaging with AI in ethical, critical and creative ways.
Day 1 – Deep dives and innovation
The first day took place at VIVES Campus Kortrijk and focused on two important areas of the project: Work Package 3 and Work Package 6. Partners worked together in dedicated sessions to review progress, exchange expertise and align future activities.
In the afternoon, participants visited the Flax-House of AI, where discussions explored the connection between artificial intelligence, innovation and future-oriented education.
Day 2 – Advancing project development
The second day was hosted at iTec, KU Leuven Campus Kortrijk. The programme focused on Work Package 5 and Work Package 4, providing opportunities for in-depth discussion, planning and collaboration across the consortium.
The day concluded with a visit to Edtechstation, offering valuable insights into educational innovation and entrepreneurship within the wider edtech ecosystem.
Day 3 – Learning from practice
A key highlight of the meeting was the peer learning day in Zelzate. Participants visited GO! Atheneum Erasmus and engaged in peer learning activities with Flagship Schools from both Belgium and the Netherlands.
These exchanges created valuable opportunities to connect project developments with educational practice, share experiences and discuss how schools are approaching innovation and digital transformation in their own contexts.
The active involvement of the Flagship Schools ensured that the perspectives of practitioners remained at the heart of the discussions and future project developments.
Strengthening a European community
Beyond the individual work packages and activities, the meeting demonstrated the strength of the AI-Teach community. Bringing together universities, teacher educators, schools and educational experts from different countries created a valuable environment for knowledge exchange, collaboration and mutual learning.

As AI-Teach enters its second year, the consortium looks forward to building on the progress made in Kortrijk and continuing its mission to support teachers in navigating AI in education.
